عمر فاروق أحد أكثر الموسيقيين المتألقين الذي
يتجاوز عملهم حدود الخيال ويأخذك إلى عالم خاص من المتعه والسحر
و هو إعجوبة الموسيقية التركيه
ولد عمر فاروق في أدنه بتركيا من عائلة موسيقية أم مصريه وأب تركى التي ربت مواهبه مبكرا في عمر الثمانية بدأت موهبته الموسيقية تظهر ببراعه على الناي وفي نفس الوقت درس الدين. . موهبته الموسيقية قد تربت على يد أخيه الأكبر سنا
وعمه الذي كان يمتلك محل الالات الموسيقى والذي زوده بالدروس الموسيقى و كان يعمل معه بعد المدرسه تعلم عمر فاروق اثناء العمل مع عمه الإيقاعات المعقدة للموسيقى التركية تدرب وأتقن عدة آلالات موسيقيه منها الناي و المزمار والعود وبعمر إثنا عشر بدأ العزف على الالات بشكل محترف

في 1967 عندما كان عمره السادسه عشر إنتقل إلى إسطنبول مع أخوه إستكشف أساليب غربية وتركية وعربية وهناك اثر عليه Gunduz Kutbay وأصبح مصدر آخر من الهامه .. مهارات عمر فاروق تفتحت في إسطنبول وعزف مع بعض من الموسيقيين الأتراك البارزين
بعد تأسيس نفسه كأحد موسيقي المجالس الكبار في تركيا
بدأ بالتجول في أوروبا وأستراليا عام 1971 في عمر 20 سنه جعل جولته الأولى للولايات المتحدة كعضو فى مجموعة شعبية تركيه وفى خلال هذه الجوله قابل زوجته المستقبلية وفي 1976 إنتقل إلى نيويورك لزواجها
عمر فاروق وجد خيارات قليله جدا فى انتشار الموسيقى التركيه في الولايات المتحدة لذا شكل فريق باسم السلاطين مع عده عازفين مصرين ويونانين بدأوا بجذب بعض الإنتباه و إستطاعوا تسجيل خمسة ألبومات أثناء هذا الوقت .. و بالاشتراك مع براين كين في 1988 انتج ستة البوماتة وانطلق الى العالميه
عمر فاروق منذ ذلك الحين قد أسس نفسه كأحد دعاة العالم الأوائل للموسيقى الشرق الأوسطية و تعاون مع عده موسيقيين عالمين مثل عازف بوق jazz دون كرز
عازف البيانو كارل بيرجير عازف الدرامز سايمون شاهين، حسام رامز بيتر إرسكين .. و ساهم في انتاج الموسيقى لافلام والتلفزيون وتجول في كافة أنحاء الشرق الأوسط و أوروبا و أستراليا و شمال و جنوب امريكا
عمر فاروق حصل على جائزة أفضل فنان موسيقى فى تركية 2003 .. مرشح لجائزة موسيقى bbc العالمية 2003 عن الشرق الأوسط
