تجسِّد أحداث المسلسل معاناة أسرة عانت وحشية الاحتلال، ويحكي قصة نضال الشعب الفلسطيني في مواجهة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي .
وتدور أحداث المسلسل حول أسرة فلسطينية تواجه الموت بنيران المحتل كل يوم، وتعاني مرارة العيش في ظل الاحتلال، وتركز القصة على أحد أعضاء هذه الأسرة، وهي امرأة اضطرت للهجرة إلى الأردن مع والدها ومولودها الجديد، وعندما تقرر العودة لزيارة شقيقها وبقية أهلها يُقتَل والدها بنيران جنود الاحتلال، وهو ينتظر على الحدود.
وتكشف قصة المسلسل مدى معاناة المدنيين الفلسطينيين والأبرياء من الأطفال والنساء والشيوخ تحت وطأة الاحتلال؛ حيث ترصد سلسلةً من الهجمات الوحشية من الجنود الإسرائيليين تجاه المدنيين الفلسطينيين بنيران الاحتلال، التي لا تفرق بين الرجال أو النساء وحتى الأطفال.

فلقد اختلقت أزمة سياسية بينها وبين تركيا عند عرض المسلسل على شاشات التلفزيون التركي ووصل الأمر إلى حد إهانة السفير التركي في إسرائيل وهو الأمر الذي أجبر إسرائيل على الاعتذار لتركيا عن هذا الموقف رغماً عنها لأنها لا تود أن تخسر حمامة سلام بينها وبين العرب .
